About me

Hi, I'm Laura, a versatile storyteller and media specialist focused on telling stories about technology, education, and wellness. 


As a native Californian, I spent the better part of my adult life championing Bay Area music, fashion, and travel for local blogs, chronicling the displacement of art galleries by the tech industry for alt-weeklies, and translating complex technical concepts into no-B.S. messages that speak to audiences in—and outside of—the tech bubble.


I spent years working in the heart of Silicon Valley, where I developed, managed and implemented media strategies for early-stage startups and established tech companies, including funding announcements, data campaigns, company profiles, and thought leadership.


I have a firm grasp on data-driven storytelling and enjoy creating engaging narratives from research while combining that with slice-of-life stories about the people behind the facts. I am also an experienced ghostwriter for company executives and founders in the tech industry and I've managed content development and publication for multiple blogs and media sites—most notably LinkedIn Engineering and Vogue Paris in English.


I now live in London, but will always spell color without a "u," although I can't promise I won't adopt a few colloquialisms from the Brits. Cheerio!

I have a bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University and a dual French/American high school diploma. As a certified yoga teacher and seasoned traveler, I am always in pursuit of the undiscovered.
